What's important to me

You can't do good work over a long period of time unless you're happy at home, so having a balanced and happy home life is a huge priority in my life.

Pictured here is my amazing wife, our son, and Luca.

My Work Life

I have been working in technology since 2014. The first project that I worked on became the website Run For Office, which was further developed with my friends at the company NationBuilder.

Since then, I've built teams to help make ideas into real products. Creating partnerships with businesses and academia have been a constant theme in my work, and I've had the pleasure to work with dozens of student interns. I have also networked and researched about new areas of interest, such as blockchain, regenerative farming, and drone data collection.

Prior to working at NationBuilder, my career has included working for Habitat for Humanity, being an early employee at the company Singing Dog Vanilla, and working for the New York Daily News.

Time Well Spent

Spending time with family and watching baseball; here I am at Fenway Park with my nephew. You really can't beat it.

I also love going to minor league baseball games all summer long in Eugene, Oregon.

Lots of Walks

I'm a walker. Period.

I like walking in my local woods, and also driving all around my home state of Oregon to find new spots.

I like walking because it's something that I can do with family and friends, but I also walk by myself so that I can think through ideas, problems, and scenarios.

Let's Connect

One thing that I enjoy is meeting and speaking with other people, so if you'd like to be in touch definitely reach out.

Easiest way to reach me is by email - jimcupples@gmail.com
